Inspired
So I have run out of groceries and have not had a chance to make the 3 mile trek to the store yet. I have an interview for a job in an hour, I need to eat because I am starving and don't want to pass out during the interview. I decide to go to the Citi Mart(a tiny grocery store located below my apt. complex) and get some lunch, I've never been in there before so I don't know what to expect. As I reach the counter to check out my cheesy hamburger in a can the little East Indian man comes from around the corner to the ice cream freezer, he looks through a few different items then decides to pick out the Chaco Taco, then he says, "I give you this for free." and punches me in the shoulder. Then he starts asking me if I live here and what I'm doing with my life...so of course I tell him "my story", then he says as he is pointing up the hill towards LDSBC, "Don't get boyfriend, achieve your goals." I never said anything about a boyfriend, or anything...I guess I just look like the type to always have a boyfriend...bahahaha! I thanked him for the wisdom and left feeling very inspired by my new friend.

Santa Fe Chicken (in the crock pot)
How do you like this food photography? I made this recipe the other day. It was super easy, healthy and called for ingredients that I already had on hand. The only changes I made were using regular onions insead of scallions, leaving out the cayenne pepper and adding the cilantro as more of a garnish since I didn't have it when I started it in the crock pot that morning. Mine could have used some more salt, but it's better to have too little than too much! I served it on rice, but I ate leftovers on tortilla chips like nachos and also in a tortilla. (This made a ton and I think I had it for lunch like 4 times before I just threw the rest away.) Yummy every time!

We decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon! We are about 10 years late to the party, but that's okay since we expect that all 5 of our readers will be our family. Since we sisters don't live close enough to run over to each other's houses, we just wanted a place to share our adventures in crafting, sewing, cooking, entertaining our kids and whatever else we do while we are just living our lives!
